Taxi driver robbed in city; vehicle found in Trinidad

BAGUIO CITY --A taxi driver was robbed of his earnings at Barangay Pinget here by still two unidentified men who ordered him to drive the taxi to Tam-awan Village up the area where they left him and proceeded north.

Police identified the driver as Rolando S. Sabado y Santiago, 43, married, native of Libtong, Burgos, La Union.

He was allegedly robbed at 1 a.m. Feb. 7 by the two, one of whom was armed with a handgun.

Later, John Abad Palasico, a security guard of Sidekick Security Agency assigned at the Benguet Capitol, Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet reported to town police that a white Adventure taxi bearing plate no. AYM-391 was parked and left near the capitol building by two unidentified male persons.

Police investigated and found out later the driver of the taxi was robbed in Pinget, around 8 km from the capitol.
