SAN VICENTE, Ilocos Sur – An
Australian national who posted on Facebook a sex video with his Filipina wife
has opted to remain in jail than to post bail for his release.
Fifty-four-year-old John Michael
Querolsaid he feared for his safety as he had gotten the ire of his wife, who
has filed a case against him.
Querol was quoted as saying that
he posted the sex video to protest the denial of his petition for permanent
stay in the country.
Police here said it was up to
Querol whether he wanted to get out of jail considering that he had the option
to pay bail for his temporary liberty.
It was not known if Querol’s
relatives were informed of his predicament. Despite this, police said he was in
good hands while he was in jail.
