BAGUIO CITY— Nine criminology graduates from
the University of Cordilleras landed in the top ten in the recent Professional
Regulatory Commission board exams including the No. 1 spot in a tie with a
graduate from Cagayan de Oro College.
UC also got a 100
percent passing rate with all of its 113 examinees passing the exam.
An examinee from the
University of Baguio also landed at sixth place.
For the April 7 to 9
Criminology board examinations, 5,701
out of the 13,484 examinees nationwide passed the examination.
The Baguio passers join more than 31,000
criminology and education graduates join the ranks of the country’s
professional workforce after the PRC released
result of board exam.
PRC-Baguio regional
director Teofilo Gaius Sison Jr. bared these, adding for March the 10 Licensure
Examination for Teachers (LET), 10,310 out of the 37,117 examinees nationwide
passed the elementary level while 15,223 out of the 38,433 examinees passed the
secondary level.
For the examinees
under PRC Baguio, 2,331 or 36.96 percent of the 6,306 registered examinees
passed the LET exam.
Two of the examinees
ranked seventh and ninth in the elementary level, while for the secondary level
- PRC-Baguio examinees got the top sixth to tenth places.
Meantime, Sison also
announced that PRC registration for the LET and Criminology Board examination
passers is on-going since April 24 at Baguio Regional office along Kisad Road.
For those residing in
the province of Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac and Ifugao, Sison said they can
register during the PRC scheduled mobile outreach services to such provinces
this May, to save travel time and expenses of going up here at the PRC Baguio
regional office.
For PRC’s Mobile
Outreach Service, the following are the schedules: municipal hall of Calasiao,
Pangasinan at 9:00-4:00PM of May 4; Provincial Capitol Building of Lagawe,
Ifugao on May 7,(9am to 4pm); on May 8 (9am to 4pm) at the City Gymnasium,
Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija; and for May 24 (2pm to 5pm) and May 25 (9am
to 12noon), PRC will be at the SM Mall in Tarlac City.
Sison reminded
successful examinees to personally register and submit the necessary
requirements, such as duly accomplished oath form or panunumpang propesyonal,
2013 Community Tax Certificate or Cedula, two pieces passport size pictures
(colored with white background with complete name tag); one documentary stamp
for the oath form, initial registration fee of P600 and annual registration fee
of P450 for the year 2013 to 2016.
