Baguio musicians sing for Philhealth, needy patients

BAGUIO CITY - For Cordillera Entertainers Baguio Benguet Based Association (CEBBBAI), singing for a cause is done both for patients who need financial support and for group members’  Philhealth membership.

Concerts are scheduled at  Batawa Resto Bar for kidney patient Ariel Bastian  on July 19;  epileptic Desiree Pasyalen and kidney patient Ralph Pasyalen on July 27, Davis Sabo with complicated ailment on Aug 03; and stroke patient Josephine Miranda on August 9.

Tickets are available from CEBBAI group members and Batawa management.

The musicians who come from different parts of the Cordillera and from the lowlands based in  Baguio City  had staged around 70 concerts since the group was organized last year.

Concerts for a cause held at the same  resto pub supported  financial needs of  other patients  including Aloysius Matib hit with colon cancer, Emilia Talongen with malignant tumor, Philip Andres with  sigmoid polypoid, Christian Gosingan with congenital heart disease, Monroe Saturnino with chronic kidney disease, and Marjorie Chacapna with sphenoid wing reningioma.

At least 5%  to 20% from the net income depending on concert proceeds is partaken by CEBBBAI for its organizational purposes and the rest of the sales to concert beneficiaries. Concerts are one source of funds aside from monthly dues of the group members.

For its Philhealth registration assistance, CEBBAI pays P900.00 and the other P900.00  paid by the member to complete a year’s membership.  

CEBBAI was formally organized  December 10,2012  with  150 musicians singing in Baguio City’s various music dens.

It had its first meeting on Sept 25,2012 and elected its first officers on Nov 3, 2012  namely president Albert Basilan, vice president  Larry Villaroman, secretary Rossana P. Perce and Candy Cuison, treasurers  RiaGambala and , Joseph Benigen, auditors Dennis Tabbang, Dexter Dizon, business managers  Edwin Miro, BontonColte, MaricrisFiguerroa,SalvadorAmugauan; Press Relations Officer Charlie Morris, James Clangan,and Danny Binay-an; and sergeant at arms Ernesto Zapanta Jr, Joel Bastian, Rodolfo Pedronio,ErnestoSagayo,MiguelGalap,and Arnold Namuhmuh.

The CEBBAI aims to foster solidarity and respect among its members, renders guidance and support to each other; and aids in health such as procurement of  SSS, Philhealth insurance of  members.
