Duterte wants list

BAGUIO CITY – A mayor and three barangay councilmen were included in 77 out of reported 79 drug personalities in the region accounted for by police and narcotics agents tasked by regional peace and order council to validate drug suspects.
Mayor Mauricio G. Domogan, RPOC chairman, said he received a directive from the Office of the President to submit a report on status of 79 identified drug personalities in Cordillera as part of government’s anti-drug campaign.
The mayor reported 77 drug personalities had been accounted for by law enforcement agencies because they surrendered while two personalities remain unaccounted for and now subject of intelligence operations.
Of the 77 accounted drug personalities, four drug suspects were from Baguio.
A municipal mayor was included in the said list but his name was withheld.
Domogan said of the four drug personalities from Baguio, three were barangay kagawads who earlier surrendered to authorities while one was a member of the judiciary who is still being located.
Domogan said the three barangay kagawads who were linked to drugs will be invited to explain their side before he will submit his detailed report to the Office of the President.
What is important, according to him, is that there are no drug lords in the region and the city.
Drug pushers were the ones found to have been peddling prohibited drugs supplied by drug lords operating in Central Luzon and Metro Manila.
He added one of problems faced by law enforcers and anti-narcotics agents was recidivism among drug surrenderees who have gone back to selling drugs.

They reportedly gave themselves up to authorities for fear of serious consequences due to their illegal activities.
