Couple, IT specialist nabbed for ‘selling shabu’ to lawmen


BAGUIO CITY -- Three persons were arrested after selling illegal drugs to city and Benguet police in separate joint entrapment operations here Wednesday.
Operatives identified the suspects as Lionel Donio Lehmann, 30, IT graduate and resident of Kitma Village, Bakakeng Central; Spencer Monzon Cabuco, 45 and his wife Aileen Perales Cabuco, 39, both residents at Saint Patrick Subdivision, Upper Irisan.
Lehmann was arrested around 6 p.m. at Burnham-Legarda while the  Cabucos were arrested around1:35 p.m. at Manuel Roxas Street, Purok 1, Imelda Village after both sold two sachets of shabu each to a Drug Enforcement Unit agent who acted as buyer.
Confiscated from Lehman were six sachets containing suspected shabu, 1 Samsung Duos cellphone and P6,000 buy-bust money.
In the possession of Spencer were eight sachets containing suspected shabu, 1 Huawei cellphone, plate number of a van and P6,000 buy-bust money. 
Marking and inventory of confiscated pieces of evidence were done on site in the presence of suspects and witnessed by a Prosecutor and Barangay officials.
Suspects and drug evidence confiscated were brought to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office-Cordillera for tests. Cases for illegal drugs were filed against the suspects.
Regional police director Chief Supt. Rolando Z. Nana commended police for arresting the suspects even as he urged the public to inform lawmen of illegal activities like drug-peddling.
