SEEDS FOR FARMERS -- La Trinidad, Benguet Mayor Romeo Salda and Dept. of Agriculture Cordillera director Cameron Odsey distribute vegetable seeds to cut flower farmers in Alapang, La Trinidad affected by the enhanced community quarantine due to the COVID-19. The DA turned over more than P1 million worth of vegetable seeds to seven cut flower producing barangays of La Trinidad.. RMC PIA-CAR

PLANT PROGRAM -- Agriculture– Cordillera officials led by regional technical director lawyer  Jenny Dawayan and Baguio City Veterinary and Agriculture Office head Dr. Brigette Piok turn over chickens and seedlings to residents of Atok Trail headed by village chief Federico Codley during launching of Plant Program in Baguio City last week. More than 50 residents of Atok Trail received chicken while hundreds got free vegetable seedlings and farm materials.. RMC PIA-CAR

ROLLIGN STORE -- Baguio City's effort to decongest market places and bring basic necessities to the barangays is becoming a familiar scene in school yards and open gyms. The DTI and DA in coordination with barangay heads scheduled rolling markets with basic necessities and food items supplied by local distributors in areas such as Dontogan, Fairview, Bakakeng, Pacdal, Asin, Lucban, Loacan, Country Club Village and Benguet towns such as Atok and Kibungan. FOOD RELIEF -- A recipient in Baguio City brings home 25 kilos of rice; assorted vegetables and groceries of cooking oil, salt, sugar, mongo beans, dried fish and canned goods delivered by social activists composing the Serve the People Brigade – Cordillera Disaster Response Network (STPB).

ROLLING STORE - to keep residents in their respective places, “rolling stores” where goods and basic commodities are was initiated in barangays by DTI,  Baguio City government, barangay officials  and local distributors such as TiongSan Department Store. This is meant to ease public markets from overcrowding and bring consumer goods to the residences. -- Art Tibaldo

BAGUIO VEGGIES -- City residents buy vegetables sold at P10 a kilo at Sto. Nino barangay last week. The event was a project of the provincial government of Benguet in partnership with the city government of Baguio and Movement for Farmers Civic Action Group. -- RMC PIA-CAR
