Stranded Sagada students to call hotline numbers on concerns

By Gina Dizon

SAGADA, MOUNTAIN PROVINCE- The local government unit here calls out to stranded students from this municipality currently staying in Baguio City and Benguet to reach hotline numbers 091502813343 or 09472476553 for their concerns.
In an interview, Sagada Mayor James Pooten Jr said parents of students here in town are also being coordinated to determine needs of the students particularly on food for the scheduled delivery to Baguio or La Trinidad, Benguet.
While students are advised to stay put in Baguio or Benguet, Pooten said some may want to come home.
This, considering the increasing number of Covid-infected cases in Baguio and Benguet and taking note of the five-month long waiting period till the opening of regular classes by September this year.
Meantime, a 14-day quarantine period is required of those coming from Covid -infected areas such as Baguio or  Benguet and other confirmed places hit with the corona virus under the strict monitoring of health personnel here.
Currently, Sagada has the Pegew quarantine camp and other areas being eyed for isolation sites.
