Cops hunt gunmen in Asingan woman slay

ASINGAN, Pangasinan – Police are still searching unidentified gunmen who killed a woman here in Barangay Cabalitian on May 14.

Virginia Balangue, 45; her husband Arsenio, 52, and Artemio Canaveral, 42, were catching beetles when she was shot. Arsenio and Canaveral were unhurt.

Maj. Leonard Zacarias, town police chief, said the victim was declared dead on arrival at the Asingan Community Hospital.
