CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga -- The Kalinga
Police Provincial Office awarded 61
police personnel, seven non-uniformed personnel and nine stakeholders during
culminating activity of the 25th Police Community Relations Month celebration
on July 31 for contribution to goals of
the Philippine National Police and exemplary performance.
Tabuk City Police Station was also given
plaque of recognition as outstanding city police station of the Police Regional
Office-Cordillera for this year.
The station
was recognized for exemplary performance and implementation of community-based
plans, programs and projects which enhanced PRO-COR’s accomplishment of its
mandate and objectives in the field of PCR.
The 2nd
Kalinga Mobile Force Company was given certificate of appreciation for their
generosity in helping build a house for a widow in Barangay Bangad, Tinglayan
that exhibited the PNP value of “Makatao” through the "Kapwa ko mahal ko,
adopt a family program of the PNP during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Napolcom
provincial director lawyer Zane Mark Bongayon, who was guest of honor,
commended the KPPO for crime prevention and control, and role against spread of
Covid-19 virus.
He commended
the police force for their unremarkable contributions as frontliners. “We have
seen how the police, LGUs and the community leaders participated in the
clustering and mapping communities to facilitate contact tracing, isolation and
preventing the spread of infection. Having a good system coupled with the
cooperation of each team members has made positive impact in maintaining the
peace and order of the province amidst the pandemic,” Bongayon said.
Provincial
police director Col. Davy Vicente Limmong called on stakeholders for stronger
partnership in crime prevention saying the Police can't do the job alone. --
