CPP-NPA ‘prop man’ surrenders in Tarlac

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- A former propagandist of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) surrendered to police in Tarlac last week.
    "Ka Gringo,"50 was a former member of Sangay sa Yunit Propaganda Kilusang Larangang Guerilla operating in the municipalities of Capaz and San Jose.
    Police Central Luzon director Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon said it was another achievement for Cl police in implementation of President Duterte’s executive order 70 to “end local communist armed conflict (ELCAC).”
    “Our strengthened campaign once again paid off as another former CPP-NPA member voluntarily surrendered to authorities,” De Leon said.
    "Ka Gringo" handed over one Cal. 30 US carbine with one magazine and nine bullets.
