P120-K shabu, MJ seized in Tuguegarao

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan -- The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cagayan Valley regional police seized P120,000 worth of illegal drugs like shabu and marijuana recently.
    Three illegal drug suspects are now facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 after operatives of PDEA and the PNP implemented buy-bust operations and implemented search warrants which led to their arrest first week of January.
    In Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya, a businessman was arrested during a buy-bust operation at Barangay Poblacion.
    Recovered from the suspect were eight pieces of heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu worth Php6,800.
    In Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, following issuance of search warrant, a 42-year-old male resident of Barangay Cattagaman Nuevo resulted in the confiscation of  10 transparent plastic sachets containing suspected  shabu weighing 5 grams valued at P120,000, a 5.56 magazine; 29 5.56 bullets, nine ammunition for .38 handgun and assorted drug paraphernalia.
    In the same city, another search warrant was implemented against a 20-year-old male resident of barangay Bagay which resulted in the confiscation of marijuana dried leaves and with fruiting tops suspected to be marijuana and shabu weighing 7 grams, five bullets for 9 mm and Cal. 45 handgun including assorted drug paraphernalia. – With PIA and PDEA reports

Police apprehend four Benguet ‘drug pushers’ 

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet -- Four alleged drug personalities were arrested in Benguet last week.
In Tuba town Monday, Amiel Guile Gutierrez Eligores, 24 was arrested after he sold suspected shabu weighing five grams worth 34,000 to police who posed as buyers.
    In Buguias, police arrested Rasmia Ebra Balang, 26 and Sharon Galuba Lorenzana, 46 after Balang transacted with a cop Tuesday.
    Buguias police said Balang sold shabu weighing 4.8 grams worth P32,640.
    Shabu weighing 22 grams valued at P153,476 was seized from  Lorenzana.
    In La Trinidad, Rommel Cabrera Lagera, 34, was arrested Wednesday after he sold shabu worth P884.00 to police who acted as buyers.
    Eligores, Balang, Lorenzana and Lagera were listed by police as high value drug personalities.

P6.1 marijuana burned in Benguet

KIBUNGAN, Benguet -- Police burned P6.1 worth of marijuana they discovered in four plantations here last week.
In a report to Cordillera police director Brig. Gen. R’win S.Pagkalinawan by Benguet police director Col. Ragay, around 15,000 pieces of fully-grown marijuana plants and 25 kilos dried marijuana stalks were burned at the plantations. 
    On Jan. 3, in Sitio Topinao, Barangay Madaymen, police discovered  1,350 fully-grown marijuana plants worth P270,000 cultivated at a public lot.
    On Jan. 4, in Sitio Mayangao also in Madaymen, same police operatives discovered 10 kilos of dried marijuana stalks worth P1,200,000
    On Jan. 8 in another operation in Sitio Batangan of Barangay Tacadang, police discovered around 6,000 fully-grown marijuana plants cultivated in a public lot worth P1,200,000.
    The following day, same cops discovered 8,200 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants and 15 kilos of dried marijuana stalks worth P3,440,000 in Sitio Lamagan also in Tacadang.
    Police took a few marijuana as evidence.
