129 wanted persons nabbed in Cordillera

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet -- Cordillera cops arrested 129 wanted persons, of which 27 were listed as most wanted persons last February, regional police director Brig. Gen. R’win S. Pakalinawan said.
    Topping the list with the greatest number of arrests, he added, was Baguio City Police Office with total of 56 arrested wanted persons followed by Benguet PPO with 28; Abra, 16; Ifugao, 13; Apayao and Kalinga PPO each with seven arrests and Mountain Province with two.
    In Benguet, Jerry Cosendo Pinder was arrested for rape.
     Chrisanto Bandao Napadawan was arrested by Itogon town police for violation of Republic Act 9262 (Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act).
    Arnold Wa-il Bag-ayan was nabbed in Kalinga for rape with no bail recommended, while Joshue Esteban Opaywas  arrested by  Tinoc town police for rape.
    In Baguio City, police nabbed Jun Baldonado Pinto and Jim Vincent Rasalan Geronimo for rape.
    Mark Anthony Parides Layva was apprehended for estafa and swindling while Joel Binwag Calditowas arrested for murder.
    Still in Baguio, Britch Chumacog Almasan was held for large scale illegal recruitment and estafa.
    Edson Bangbanga aka “Eds Taudi/Ed Taudi was also nabbed for murder.
    Meanwhile, an intensified manhunt operation conducted by Ifugao police resulted to the arrest Bartolome Balajo Dag-o, Jr, 29 for rape.
    Col. David D. Mariano, Ifugao police director bared this saying the suspect has been long wanted and was nabbed March 1, at Barangay Betag, La Trinidad, Benguet through the help of an informant.
    Dag-o is now under the custody of  Lamut, Ifugao police.
