Asipulo sets strict Covid rules as cases reach 203

ASIPULO, Ifugao -- Mayor Armando Domilod issued additional guidelines for strict implementation to abate spread of Covid-19 virus here May 15-31.
    As of May 17, Asipulo recorded 203 Covid-19 cases with two deaths,115 recoveries and 86 active cases.
    Domilod said uncoordinated entry of vehicles ferrying large groups of people in the municipality will not be allowed and checkpoint personnel shall hold the vehicles and persons at the municipal checkpoint until their destination and purpose are verified.
    If minimum health protocols are violated by the persons in the vehicle, entry shall not be allowed regardless of the purpose,” he stated.
    Monitoring and validation activities in ongoing projects by the national government agencies and other implementing offices, whether private or public projects in the municipality,  shall be postponed or temporarily suspended.
    Gatherings outside of residences such as but not limited to weddings and religious gatherings, shall be prohibited.
    Gatherings at residences with any person outside of one’s immediate household shall likewise be prohibited.
    However, gatherings that are essential for health, government or humanitarian activities authorized by appropriate government agency or instrumentality shall be permitted.
    The guidelines also provides the Municipal Civil Registrar’s Office will not accept applicants for marriage from May 15 – 31.
    The mayor told Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams and other concerned agencies to strictly enforce and monitor observance of guidelines for public safety. – PIA Ifugao
