DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Police here honored retired Brig. Gen. Kimmy
Catanes in a ceremony here Monday.
As guest of honor and speaker of the Distinguished Visitor’s Program, Catanes was received by Col. Glenn D. Lonogan, chief of Regional Personnel and Records Management Division and accorded traditional welcome dance and arrival honors by police.
In his message, Catanes shared his experiences in the service citing significance of having strong connection with family and friends.
“For the 34 years that I was in service, despite the ups and downs in my life, I have witnessed the full support of my family and friends wherein during those times that I encounter many challenges in the service, their guidance and protection led and helped me to be a good police officer,” Catanes said.
Catanes extended his gratitude to the Police Regional Office Cordillera for the warm welcome and for giving him a proper retirement honor.
Catanes was director of Regional Internal Affairs Service-Cordillera before he officially retired from the PNP in 2020.
However due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he was not given proper retirement honor.
