By Paul Rillorta

BAGUIO CITY – The city’s number coding scheme here has been suspended following expected arrival of thousands of tourists during the Baguio Flower Festival here this month.

Mayor Mauricio Domogan, who ordered the suspension said there was need to cater to the needs of visitors who will flock the city with their respective families in the comfort of their vehicles.”

The number coding suspension was suspended from Feb. 13 to March 2 or a span of 19 days covering private vehicles only.

Domogan said this was needed as the Philippine Military Academy was holding its alumni homecoming third week of February.

“Let’s allow our tourists to freely roam around the city and enjoy their desired break from the extreme heat of the lowlands and actively participate in merrymaking during festivities,” Domogan said.

The city is expecting number of visitors to double in the city’s celebration this year.
