LAGAWE, Ifugao --The provincial board of
canvassers here proclaimed Teddy Baguilat Jr. as winner in the congressional race
completing proclamation of all
provincial elected officials last elections.
Lawyer Elenita Capuyan, provincial Election
supervisor and chairman of the board of canvassers proclaimed Baguilat who garnered 43,751
votes against his rival, lawyer Solomon Chungalao’s 41,664 votes .
Baguilat’s declaration was delayed due to a
legal issue raised against him by the camp of his opponent.
The PBOC proclaimed winning candidates at the
provincial level after canvassing
of results of two precincts which
were delayed due to technical problems encountered by the PCOS machines.
Proclaimed were lawyer Denis Habawel as
governor garnering 38,177 votes and reelectionist lawyer Pedro Mayam-o as vice governor with 35,248 votes.
Board members for District 1 were Jordan
Gullitiw (22,508 votes), Geronimo Bimohya(20,450), Robert Mangyao(19,526) and
Victor Bunnol Jr.(19,350).
For District II, proclaimed board
members are: Samson Atluna(15,600), Noli
Maguiwe(14,576), James Frederick Dulnuan(13,791) and Federico Juguiad(12,633).
Capuyan said canvassing was delayed in
Barangays Pinto of Alfonso Lista and Upper Cababuyan of Hingyon as
technician from Comelec Central had
to come to the province to trouble shoot the machines before the results
were transmitted to the PBOC.
