7 nabbed for gambling, another for illegal gun

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Police arrested seven persons in Baguio City last week for illegal gambling while one was nabbed in Ifugao illegal possession of firearms, said regional police director R’win SA Pagkalinawan.

In Baguio, Pagkalinawan said seven persons were caught playing “Lucky Nine” at First Road, Quezon Hill Proper on July 3.

They were identified as Clint Santos Balajadia, Pinky Flores Gonzales, Angie Lopez Jimenez, Marivic Corpuz Santos, Joy Waking Reyes, Mark Anthony Fontanilla Padon and Lilibeth Andrada Kamoy. 

Confiscated from them were two sets of playing cards, P3,376 bet money,  bottles of gin among other items.

In Ifugao, a certain Paul D. Talacay, of Poblacion West, Lamut town was arrested after allegedly firing his gun towards the house of a Commission on Elections official in the area on July 4.

Confiscated from Talacay was a Norinco Cal. 45 handgun with two magazines one of which was loaded with 13 bullets.
