P887 M set for 3 roads in Kalinga

TABUK CITY, Kalinga — Three major roads worth P887 million are set to be concreted by the Department of Public Works and Highways this year to improve accessibility and boost economic growth in the province, especially in far-flung communities.
District Engineer Leo Mustard of the Kalinga District Engineering Office here said P887 million from the P1 billion appropriated for the district is allotted for the concreting of the Kalinga-Abra road; Balbalan-Pinukpuk; and Calanan-Pinukpuk road.
He said these projects are funded through DPWH's 2011 regular fund.
