LU top drug peddler arrested

TUBAO, La Union–The reported illegal drug pusher of this province was arrested here Nov. 8 by elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 1 and Tubao police.

The alleged pusher was identified as Salvador Dacanay also known as Badz who was nabbed in a buy-bust operation here at
Barangay Francia Sur, Tubao.

Dacanay yielded four plastic sachets of shabu valued at P6,000 including marked money used in the anti-illegal drug operation.

PDEA Region 1 director Edgar S. Apalla said illegal drug activities of the suspect were traced since last year including interviews with arrested drug suspects naming him as one of their cohorts.

Participants to a provincial anti-illegal drugs summit reportedly identified Salvador as the main player and source of shabu in Tubao and nearby areas.

Salvador was charged for illegal drugs and would be facing life imprisonment and fine of P500, 000 to P10 million if found guilty.
