Maid slain in Isabela robbery

ILAGAN CITY – A 41-year-old deaf-mute housemaid met her brutal death in the hands of a supposed friend who ransacked her employer’s house of cash and jewelry in Ilagan City, Isabela Wednesday, authorities said.

The victim, Sanchita Acio, was under the employ of newly appointed city architect Isagani Magaoay who had come home from a long stint abroad.

Magaoay’s sister Susan said they discovered the robbery after coming home from work and found Acio tied up, her mouth stuffed, and head bloodied from blows with the use of a hammer found beside her body in the bathroom.
