No rivals for La Union town's bets

BALAOAN, La Union – All candidates here for mayor, vice mayor, and eight municipal council seats are running  unopposed in the 2010 elections.

Mayor Al Fred Concepcion is seeking his third and last term without any opponent, along with his nephew, Vice Mayor Gerard Ostrea. 

The unopposed candidates for councilors are Carlo Concepcion, the mayor’s son; Roger Concepcion and Cesar Ostrea, both relatives of the mayor; Michael Marron, RobenLedda, Rosie Is-Isa, Ramon Ordinario, and Emiliana Portacio. 

All are running under the Nationalist People’s Coalition headed by Gov. Manuel Ortega, the party’s provincial chairman.
