Army troops discover NPA camps in far Isabela villages

GAMU,Isabela – Army troops of the 51^st Division Reconnaissance Company, discovered New People’s Army camps in a series of operations, in depressed barangays of Isabela that started Nov. 2.

Col. Miguel Puyao Jr. of the 51^st Army Division public affairs office said troops discovered an abandoned enemy satellite camp with structures at Barangay Disulap, San Mariano, Isabela.

The troops also recovered 25 kg rice while scouring the camp.

Puyao said on Nov. 3, troops discovered a freshly abandoned NPA camp composed of 30 newly constructed huts potable water source.

Meanwhile, Army troops belonging to 86^th Infantry Battalion reportedly discovered an abandoned NPA camp at Villa Robles, Palanan, Isabela Nov. 3. S

The camp had 14 caves that can accommodate around 100 persons covered with thick vegetation.
