No overprice of Ifugao school supplies: DTI

LAGAWE, Ifugao --With school
opening last week, the Department
of Trade and Industry here assured the public that there was no overpricing of
school supplies in the province.
Speaking in radio program, “Humangan with
PIA,” DTI’s Johnny Dulnuan said they
monitored business establishments every
Friday May in municipalities and found
prices of school supplies werel stable.
“We thank the owners of the business
establishments in the municipalities of Lagawe, Banaue, Kiangan, Lamut and
Alfonso Lista for their cooperation in maintaining the prices of their goods
within the suggested retail price of the government", Dulnuan said.
He advised the consumers to check school
supplies before buying these to ensure quality.
He urged buyers to compare prices of
establishments and quality before buying adding it was also important to take
note of the non-toxic label on the package.
“I recommend Philippine made products because
I guarantee that they are toxic- free,” Dulnuan said.
