Edison Bilog is new Baguio vice mayor

BAGUIO CITY — City Councilor Edison Bilog took his oath Monday as new vice mayor of this city, replacing Daniel Farinas who was elected last year but died May 4.

Under the Local Government Code, the city councilor who garnered the highest number of votes assumes the post of the vice mayor in case the latter dies.

Bilog has started to review documents which require the urgent signature of the vice mayor like the release of funds needed for the salaries of city employees.
