Korina Sanchez on husband Mar : ‘No politics only work’

BAGUIO
CITY -- News anchor Korina Sanchez-Roxas, host of ABS-CBN’s “Rated K” and said
she is proud of her husband, Department of Interior and Local Government
Secretary Mar Roxas for not being involved in any anomaly and corruption,
especially in the controversies surrounding the Priority Development Assistance
Fund
(PDAF).
“I
am very proud how he’s held up amidst the intrigues, including those which
involve us. In fact we spend so little time together because of his dedication
to his job, in which he avoids all kinds of politics,” she said in Filipino during
“Rated K”’s gift giving activity in the city.
Sanchez-Roxas
distributed rice and souvenir bracelets to some 1,000 indigent families in
Barangay Bayan Park, Monday to thank the viewers as part of the 10th year
anniversary of “Rated K”.
She
said she gave very little but felt the residents’ support of her program.
She
added, “Secretary Roxas has nothing to do with what I am doing, this is about
my work. I extend help but this has nothing to do with politics.”
On
the issue of Roxas running for the presidency in 2016, she said they have not
talked about it and if he has plans, she and the Liberal Party will be the
first to decide on whether her husband will be involved in it at all.
She
said that at present, her husband is busy with work and all his time is devoted
to trying to solve problems and coming up with programs for the country.
