Medical kits, supplies donated to Bontoc hospital; Dalog allots funds for poor patients

BONTOC, Mountain Province --  AASENSO PINOY Foundation in partnership with the office of Rep. Maximo Dalog donated medical kits and supplies to Bontoc General Hospital to enhance quality health care for patients.

Said medical kits and supplies included: nebulizer, nasal cannula, mask, infant cannula, specimen container, end respiratory filter, petri dish, infant resuscitator, cushion mask, cleaning tray, insulin syringe, dental needle, adult resuscitator, med cupo, bed pan, ambo bag, fluid transfer set, binary connector with needle, oxygen connector, nebulize tube.

Dalog turned over medical kits and supplies to the hospital which were received by Dr. Nenita Lizardo March 30 with  hospital staff and employees witnessing the event.

The congressman commended employees of BGH headed by  Lizardo since they were first beneficiary of the foundation to receive such supplies in the province.

Dalog said that the hospital was the first to submit pertinent documents needed such as the hospital profile as reference for the foundation.

Dalog further added medical kits and supplies will be of great help to the hospital in its desire to provide quality health care to the patients.

Since hospital equipment needs to be upgraded and hospital supplies have to be sufficient, the congressman said he finding ways to help assist the hospital in supplementing other medical supplies for provincial constituents including patients who are from other provinces.

Lizardo thanked the congressman for the assistance he had been extending for the development of the hospital. 

She said medical supplies will be useful to hospital patients.

Meanwhile, the congressman had allocated funds through the Department of Health for medical assistance program intended for the patients who are not able to pay their hospital bills and medicines at Bontoc General Hospital.

Beneficiaries included patients who are undergoing hemodialysis at the hospital.

The implementation of such medical assistance program started last year.
