2 inmates escape Pangasinan jail

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Two inmates escaped
from the Pangasinan Provincial Jail after punching a guard who opened their
cell Monday morning here.
Ronnie
Zarate, 25, and Rogelio Garcia, 41, boarded a van after hitting Jail Officer
WynselSison in the face.
Garcia, who
is facing charges for illegal sale of firearms and ammunition, was recaptured
by Police Officer 1 RomerPilor of San Carlos City police.
Pilor
suffered a wound in the face after Garcia attacked him with a knife.
Zarate, who
was jailed on carnapping with murder charges, fled.
