Bigtime druggie held; P600-K shabu seized

BAGUIO CITY -- A high-value drug personality is now facing charges for violating Republic 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 after the implementation of a search warrant in his residence resulted in the discovery of more than P600 thousand worth of meth June 15.
    Police identified the suspect as Christopher Ampal, 40, of Quirino Hill.
Joint operatives of the Baguio City Police Office, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and Regional Intelligence Unit 14 implemented a search warrant issued by Judge Maria Ligaya Itliong – Rivera of RTC Branch 5, Baguio City in Christopher’s residence.
    During the search, suspected shabu weighing more or less 0.52 grams worth P3,536.00 and another 98.01 grams of the illegal drug worth P666,468.00 were discovered by lawmen in the suspect’s residence.
Inventory of sized items was witnessed by Associate City Prosecutor Bernard Allan V Angeles, Department of     Justice representative and Punong Barangay Joel Bangloy of East Quirino Hill, Baguio City.
    The arrested suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of PDEA-Benguet for documentation and proper disposition
