Transformer burned blackout hits Abra

BANGUED, Abra -- A transformer of the Abra Electric Cooperative in this capital town caught fire around noon Tuesday creating power outage that hit the entire province.
    Abreco general manager Loreto Seares Jr. said power was restored in lowland Abra after two hours and in Bangued at around 3:20 p.m.
    Seares said electricity was restored in remaining areas as soon as the replacement of the gutted transformer arrived Wednesday.
    Abreco technical services department manager Joker Damian said an investigation into the fire is ongoing.
