𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐜, Tadian towns ink 𝐌𝐎𝐀 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧

BONTOC, Mountain Province -- In a symbolic gesture of commitment towards creating a drug-free community, the mayors of Bontoc and Tadian municipalities a memorandum of agreement for the former to avail services of the Balay Silangan Reformatory Center owned by the latter located in Tadian.
    The center is supervised by the Philippine Drug Enfircement Agency. The Bontoc LGU was represented by Mayor Jerome "Chagsen" Tudlong, Jr., with Tadian LGU is represented by Mayor Constito Masweng.
    Those who witnessed the MOA signing Sept. 7 from Tadian LGU were executive assistant Louie Buned and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council secretariat Estephany Ruth Alibing.
    From Bontoc LGU weree MADAC secretariat Stephanie Kanongkong and information Officer Alpine Killa-Malwagay. 
    The "Balay Silangan" is a community-based reformation center that aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for drug surrenderees to undergo rehabilitation and reintegrate into society.
    The center offers programs and activities to help individuals recover from drug addiction and acquire necessary life skills.
    Mayor Tudlong expressed his gratitude to the municipality of Tadian through mayor Masweng for the partnership to provide much-needed support and offer second chances to individuals struggling with addiction. 
    "The MOA signing is a reminder of our commitment and determination of reintegrating individuals into society as responsible and self-sufficient citizens, contributing to a drug-free and reformed community," Tudlong said in an interview.
