Summit to tackle Baguio market dev’t, big projects

BAGUIO CITY -- The city government will present six of its high impact projects including the Public Market Redevelopment Project for public scrutiny in a Public-Private Partnership (PPP)-Investment Summit slated Oct. 4-5, 2023, 1-5 p.m. at the Baguio Convention Center.
    The summit which will have the theme, "Public Private Partnerships: Promoting Private Sector Engagement for Sustainable Development in Baguio City" is open to the public.
    Aside from the market, other projects that will be presented are: the Intermodal Transport Terminal, Electric Monorail and Bus Transport System, Smart Urban Mobility Project, Asin Hydropower Plants Development and Improvement Project and the Session Road Development Project.
    Mayor Benjamin Magalong directed the conduct of the summit to help the public gain better understanding of the city’s proposed PPP developments.
    The private sector proponents will present their proposals and the participants will be given the opportunity to ask questions and clarify matters with the project proponents during the question-and-answer portion.
