Four La Union fishers missing

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – Four fishermen from Agoo, La Union who went fishing in Lingayen Gulf while typhoon “Kabayan” was approaching Northern Luzon on Nov. 4 are still missing.
Senior Supt. Alejandro Valerio Jr., operations officer in Camp Florendo, said they have coordinated with the Navy and Coast Guard in Poro point for a search and rescue operation for fishermen Reynaldo Balagot, Martin Miranda, Eric Rivera and Rodel Doctolero.

Relatives of the missing fishermen appealed to Ilocos residents to report to police information on whereabouts of their kin if they would sight them. Authorities said the fishermen could have drifted farther into the China Sea.
