Brods slay neighbor then flee to Laoag

SAN NICOLAS, Ilocos Norte — Two brothers are now on the run after taking turns in stabbing and hacking their 40-year-old neighbor to death in Barangay 3, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, last Sunday afternoon.

Police identified the victim as Leonardo Damo, 40, resident here of Barangay 3.

His assailants – brothers Roderick and Boboy Aguinaldo – are now the subject of a police hunt after Damo died before reaching the Governor Roque Ablan Sr. Memorial Hospital.

Investigators said the killing started from a simple neighborly quarrel. The suspects reportedly fled to nearby Laoag City.
