PMA camp yields body of John Doe

FORT DEL PILAR, Baguio City — The decomposing body of a man that bore signs of a violent death was found hanging at the side of a ravine within the premises of the Philippine Military Academy here Monday afternoon , police said.

Police said they were determining whether or not the “John Doe,” found hanging by the branches of a tree was that of a PMA cadet who reported missing last March.

The police probe team noted the cadaver had been there for a long time and, as such, may be that of the cadet listed as missing in local police files.

PMA authorities denied any of its cadets have been missing.

But Senior Supt. Roberto Quinto Soriano, officer-in-charge of Baguio police said investigation was ongoing.

Soriano appealed to those with missing relatives in the city to coordinate with police and find out whether or not the cadaver recovered in the PMA premises was the one they were looking for.— Dexter A. See
