Dasol son completes list of 3 usecs in DoJ

DAGUPAN CITY – A native of Dasol, Pangasinan completes the list of three undersecretaries of the Department of Justice.

Officials bared this here Aug. 30 saying Justice Secretary Leila de Lima announced the appointment of Francisco Baraan III, who assumed the post of DOJ undersecretary.

The three undersecretaries were appointed as stipulated by the revised Administrative Code, Baraan said, adding it is complete and there is no fourth undersecretary.

Baraan told local media in this city that he heads affairs on anti-illegal drugs as well as Task Force 211, which is at the frontline of undertakings to address media killings.

Earlier, Malacañang appointed Undersecretary Jose Vicente Salazar, who is the only one retained from the Arroyo administration.

Leah C. Tanodra-Armamento of Sibalom, Antique formally assumed her duties and responsibilities as undersecretary on Aug. 27.

Armamento was appointed by Malacañang as the new undersecretary of the DoJ, replacing acting undersecretary Ian Norman Dato who is out of the country.

Armamento is a former Assistant Chief State Prosecutor and Chairwoman of Task Force on Business Scam.
