2 men gun down traffic enforcer; manhunt on

BANGUED, Abra -- Police are now hot on the trail of two suspects who shot several times a traffic enforcer and a tricycle driver August 2 at about 12:40 a.m. here at Torrijos Street, Zone 5.
Police identified the victims as Bernardo B. Bermudez, 30 and resident of Barangay Agtangao and Nelson B. Dacuyag 50, of Barangay Calaba.
Police probe revealed the victims with their other companion identified as Jaylord Clarence y Quinto and Felipe Castaňeda y Bermudez were playing card games along the road when the suspects approached and shot them.
As a result, both victims sustained gunshot wounds on their chest and were immediately rushed to the Bangued Municipal Hospital but died while undergoing medical treatment thereat.
A police team recovered six spent cartridges for caliber 5.56; five cartridges for Cal. 45; eight (8) fired cartridges and two slugs for 9mm pistol.
