Gunmen shoot dead carpenter in Ilocos

MARCOS, Ilocos Norte – Motorcycle-riding gunmen on Monday shot and killed a carpenter here.

Police identified the fatality as Felipe Dumlao, a resident of Barangay Fortuna.

Police investigators said that two men riding a motorcycle shot dead Dumlao in Barangay Daquioag.

Crime scene investigators retrieved six empty shells and two slugs of a .45 pistol.

Dumlao was in a waiting shed with four other people when the gunmen appeared and shot him.

The gunmen casually walked away from the crime scene after the shooting.

Police have yet to determine the motive behind the killing. Two persons have been invited by the police for questioning.
