BANGUED,
Abra -- Vehicle owners in the province may soon get stickers and
plate numbers from the Land Transportation Office after months of waiting.
Eusebio R.
Bidalen, chief of LTO-Abra, said the LTO-central office released
1,000 sets of stickers and plate numbers for Abra vehicles.
However, plate
numbers are still with the LTO-regional office in Baguio City.
Bidalen
advised vehicle owners who registered their motor vehicles to pick up plate
numbers at the LTO regional office.
With this
development, vehicle owners will be relieved from
being apprehended for violation of the ‘No plate, no travel’
policy of the LTO.
Meanwhile,
Bidalen said it would be nice to see their clients in appropriate attire
when going to their office for official transaction especially when applying
for a driver’s license because they are required to have a shot of their photo
for their identification.
While they
are not imposing too much on the dress code, he encouraged the people to come
to their office in appropriate attire.
Bidalen said
the first come, first serve policy of the LTO office as he assured the public
that no fixers allowed in official transactions with the LTO.
This is l in
line with the Civil Service policy on no fixers allowed in
government offices as provided for in Republic Act 9485
otherwise known as the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007.
