Slay count up in Luzon drug war

More
drug suspects have been killed in separate incidents in Luzon last week.
Bulacan
Senior
Supt. Romeo Caramat, acting Bulacan police director, identified three of the
fatalities as Ramiro de la Cruz, with aliases of Ramil and Punks, a man known
only as Dagul and an alias Mike.
Caramat
said De la Cruz and Dagul drew their guns when they sensed they had sold shabu
to anti-drug operatives in a sting in Purok 6, Barangay Palapat in Hagonoy town
and Cacarong Bata in Pandi, respectively, shortly after midnight Wednesday.
He
said four sachets of shabu, a .38-caliber revolver, an improvised gun, drug
paraphernalia and marked money were recovered from the fatalities.
Unidentified
men barged into Mike’s house in Barangay Banga First in Plaridel and shot him
in the head also Wednesday.
Caramat
said the fatalities were on their drug watchlist.
A
woman who has yet to be identified was found dead Tuesday in Barangay Minuyan,
San Jose del Monte City in Bulacan while the body of an unidentified man was
found in Barangay Pulong Gubat in Balagtas town.
Mervin
Encina, 34, a resident of Barangay Gumaok East also in San Jose del Monte, was
found dead along the road in Barangay Gaya Gaya.
The
bodies of the fatalities bore gunshot wounds and placards identifying them as
drug pushers.
Dennis
Ignacio, alias Keso, and Mark Sevillino, alias Anlabus, residents of Barangay
Tigbe in Norzagaray, Bulacan, were killed when they reportedly drew their guns
when they sensed they had sold shabu to anti-drug operatives.
Police
said the fatalities were on their drug watchlist.
Two
guns, two sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia and drug money were allegedly
recovered from the fatalities.
Pangasinan cop shot dead
In
Pangasinan, former police officer Donald Sanchez allegedly shot it out with
policemen during a drug sting in the boundary of Barangay David in Mangaldan
town and Nilombot in Mapandan at around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday.
Sanchez
was declared dead on arrival at the Mapandan Community Hospital.
Scene
of the Crime Operatives said five sachets of shabu and a mobile phone showing
the fatality’s drug transactions were found in his pocket.
Police
said Sanchez was a “high-value” drug pusher and ranked second on the drug
watchlist of Pangasinan. He was also a suspected gun-for-hire operating in
Pangasinan and Nueva Ecija.
Nueva Vizcaya
Two men
who have yet to be identified were found dead in a forested area in Sitio
Ginauatan in Barangay Abaca in Dupax del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya on Tuesday.
Villagers
conducting a cleanup drive to fight dengue found the bodies of the victims.
Senior
Inspector Randy Carbonel, Dupax del Sur police chief, said the fatalities bore
gunshot wounds.
Leonila
Sacdal, 54, former chairman of Barangay Pula in Cabanatuan City, and his
son Emerson were arrested during a raid on their house also on Tuesday.
Hurt in Isabela gun attack
Welder
George Mabutol was critically wounded in a gun attack in Barangay Aurora in
Alicia, Isabela on Monday.
Mabutol
was taken to a hospital in Santiago City for treatment.
Chief
Inspector Darwin Urani, Alicia police chief, said Mabutol
surrendered under Oplan Tokhang in July.
Baguio
City
Jimmy
Bumakit, 43, was found dead in a vacant lot in Purok 4, Barangay Belenben
Irisan in Baguio City. His head was wrapped in packing tape while his body bore
four stab wounds.
Scene
of the Crime Operatives said a piece of paper identifying the fatality as a
drug pusher was found in his pocket.
Police
said Bumakit was on their drug watchlist.
An alias
Reagan San Mateo, a resident of Barangay Tambulong in San Rafael,
Bulacan; Apple of Barangay Bambang, Bocaue; Boyong and his two
unidentified companions of Barangay Buhay 1 in San Jose del Monte City shot it
out with anti-drug operatives on Friday, said Senior Superintendent Romeo
Caramat, Bulacan police acting director.
Caramat
said sachets of shabu, marked money, three improvised guns and a caliber .38
revolver were recovered from the fatalities.
Ferdinand
Reyes, alias Didoy, 35, and Danilo Llanes, 40, fired at policemen in a sting in
Barangay Bantug Norte in Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija also on Dec. 9.
The
body of an unidentified man was found in a canal at a rice field in Barangay
Talampas in Bustos town yesterday. His head was wrapped in packing tape
and on his body was a piece of cardboard that read, “Pusher ako huwag tularan,
ikaw ang susunod (I’m a pusher, don’t emulate, you are next).”
Another
man who has yet to be identified was found dead along the road in
Retired
Army soldier Fernando Magno, 51, was walking with a woman in Barangay Mapalad
in Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija when unidentified men in a car shot him on Wednesday
night. The woman was unhurt.
Magno
was on the drug watchlist and surrendered under Oplan Tokhang recently,
