Man dies in Dangwa Bus after Manila trip

BAGUIO CITY – A
passenger was found dead inside a Dangwa Bus at their terminal here Dec. 18
around 5 a.m. after coming from Manila.
A police report said
the lifeless body of Domingo Apid Batoyog, 69, of Purok 7, Pinsao Pilot, here
was discovered by conductor Stanley Sapigao Sibaen inside Dangwa Bus
bearing Plate number ABG 5436 with bus number 833 at Dangwa Bus Terminal,
Kagitingan Barangay.
Investigation
disclosed prior to the incident, around 12 midnight, the victim boarded the bus
in Dimasalang, Manila where he requested to be seated on the isle as all seats
were already taken.
When the bus was along
Saitan/Camp 1, Tuba Benguet, the victim was not feeling well so he laid down on
the floor while the conductor placed a pillow on his head.
When they reached Baguio
Dangwa Bus Station, the passengers alighted but Batoyog was still lying on the
floor.
When they checked the
victim, his body was already stiff and not breathing. The bus
conductor then called police who in turn called medical personnel who found no
pulse rate of the victim.
The wife of the victim
arrived saying she was convinced her husband died naturally and refused autopsy.
The wife told the
investigator her husband had medical check-up because of high blood pressure.
The cadaver was
brought to Saint Peter Funeral Homes, Marcos Highway.
