Beneficiaries of cops slain in Kalinga get P700-K

CAMD DANGWA, La
Trinidad, Benguet -- Beneficiaries of four police officers slain in
operation in Kalinga Province Feb. 17
recently received financial assistance from the Philippine National Police
worth P594, 972.48.
Said amount
was distributed to them in accordance to police officers’ length of service and
remitted through their respective ATM accounts.
Beneficiaries
initially received P530,631.46 from the Public Safety Mutual Benefits INC
(PSMBFI) in cheques handed to them
during wake of slain officeras.
The amount
was distributed as follows: PO3 Cruzaldo M Lawagan – P141, 979.57; PO2
Juvenal M Aguinaldo- P135,396.9; PO1 Charles Ryan Compas- P127,410.98; and PO1
Vincent Paul Tay-od- P125, 844.01.
Cash
donation from Indonesia of P13,513.51 each and 100 kilos of rice from the PNP
were also given to them.
Likewise, Medalya
ng Kadakilaan was awarded to each of them by regional police director the Elmo
Francis Oco Sarona.
A police
report said “immediate action of PRO-COR in processing the necessary documents
for the benefit claims of both killed and wounded personnel in the police
operation resulted in the early release of all legal claims which totals
P1,152,630.96 legal benefits from the PNP and other agencies for all
beneficiaries.
Meanwhile,
hand, nine wounded policemen during the operations Liwag received total of
P180,000 initial claims from PSMBFI and also awarded Medalya ng Sugatang
Magiting.
They
included Insp. Eduard Liclic, PO2 Heidi B Juliano, PO2 Jessie P. Trinidad, PO1
Marion Dela Paz, PO1 Gerome Baldos, PO1 Kennon Sanggoy, PO1 Von Harold Layao,
PO1 Ferdinand M Asuncion and a certain Ferdie D.
Other
benefit claims of beneficiaries like monthly pension, NAPOLCOM gratuity,
burial, pension and scholarship claims, social fund claims and shelter assistance
will be released as soon as PROCOR submits documents to concerned agencies.
Similarly,
claims of those wounded in action from the Presidential Social Fund (PSF) are
also anticipated shortly following submission of documents.
