DPWH names Ilocos nat’l roads, bridges not passable

DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan
— The Dept. of Public Works and Highways in region 1 has released updates of
national roads and bridges not passable due to continuous rain at press time.
Esperanza
Tinaza,information officer of DPWH region 1 said areas not passable are: Tagudin-Cervantes
Rd, K0358+500, Naiba, Cervantes, Ilocos Sur due to slides and San Fernando
Bagulin Road, K0276+700, Bacsil Section, San Fernando City, La Union due to
recurrence of landslides in the said area due to continuous rain.
The public was
advised to take necessary precautions when passing San Fernando Bagulin Road as
landslides may still occur in some sections brought by the heavy rains.
Also closed
were Luna-Bangar Road, Barangays Rimos 3, 4 and 5 up to Paratong section, Luna,
La Union.
Garrita
Bridge along Alaminos-Bolinao Road was also closed due to launching of girders.
Motorists
were advised to take Alaminos- -Mabini-Bani route.
She said
clearing of minor slides and fallen rocks along MNR, Burgos, section,Burgos,
Ilocos Norte was ongoing including clearing of minor slides along Agoo-Baguio
City Road
Clearing and
removal of slides were also on along Tagudin-Cervantes Road, K0358+500, Naiba,
Cervantes, Ilocos Sur while road signs/warning and informative signs were being
installed on closed roads and flooded sections
Urdaneta-Dagupan
Road is passable to all types of vehicles.
Road shoulders at intermittent sections in
Pangasinan 2nd District were underwater but passable to all types of vehicles
Installation
of warning and informative signs were reportedly being done along Luna-Bangar
Road, Barangay Rimos 1, 2, 3 up to Paratong
DPWH
Pangasinan Second DEO maintenance crew said they were on red alert at Bogtong section and at Sobol Bailey Bridge
along Pangasinan-Tarlac Road, Aguilar Pangasinan.
