200 take oath as new Cordi police officers

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A total of 200 newly appointed patrol cops took oath in a brief ceremony administered by Cordillera police director Brig. Gen R’win SA Pagkalinawan here at Camp Dangwa Monday.

                The 170 males and 30 females were earlier recruited under the regional police regular recruitment program quota this year.

                In his speech, told the new cops they “must work together to be the officers that the public demands and expects them to be. You are just in time as we are gaining ground in our fight against all forms of criminalities, not to mention this pandemic and the soon to be new normal. You must be a good example and not be the scalawags who are being hunted down, endeavor to do the right thing under every circumstance because only in this way that you will be able to provide the level of service the community deserves and to really begin the work of making a difference in the lives of others.”

PNP chief Gen. Archie Francisco F. Gamboa gave his online messag eto  all newly appointed police lieutenants of National Capital Region Police Office and new cops of all regions.

During the program, Automated Teller Machine Cards were given to the newly appointed police officers.

The new cops will attend the Cordillera Administrative Region Training School where they will undergo public safety basic recruit course (PSBRC) for six months followed by another six months of field training which will qualify them for permanency.

As patrolman and patrolwoman, they will receive basic monthly salary of P29,668 aside from allowances and other non-cash benefits.

The new police officers will fill up vacant slots as a result of the death, dismissal, and retirement of personnel assigned in Cordillera.

                “The new vacancies intend to beef up the manpower complement of the PROCOR to further strengthen PNP capabilities,” Pagkalinawan said.
