CPLA member, 6 others arrested in Cordillera; P1.8-M marijuana seized

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet –Two alleged top drug
pushers in the Cordillera, a minor and three others were captured in drug
operations, where in the region where P1.8 million worth of marijuana was
seized.
Arrested was a member of the Cordillera People’s Liberation
Army identified as Jovielyn Paclay Bayog, 33, of Luccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga.
She was captured in a buy-bust operation
after she sold bricks of dried marijuana to an undercover cop in
Baligatan,Purok 3, Bulanao Norte, Tabuk City, Kalinga morning of July 24.
The operation led to seizure and
confiscation of 15 bricks of dried marijuana leaves and stalks worth P1.8
million worth, P1,000 cash, P7,500 buy-bust money and Samsung cellphone.
Meanwhile, James Bagni, was nabbed in Sitio Dantay, Alab
Oriente, Bontoc, Mt. Province on July 23 during implementation of search
warrant.
Seized from him were two sachets of suspected shabu.
Four more
individuals were caught in a buy-bust operation after they sold sachets of suspected
shabu to operatives.
Laurence Ralph S. Erise a.k.a. Renren,
21, was apprehended along Zapote Road, Laya East, Tabuk City, Kalinga July 29.
Confiscated from him were five sachets of
suspected shabu and P1,000 buy-bust money.
Meanwhile, a certain a 17 year old minor
named “Simnpleman” of km 6, Betag, La Trinidad, Benguet was caught in Barangay
Picoon July 20. Taken from his
possession were sachet containing suspected shabu ₱1,000 buy-bust money and
OPPO cell phone.
On July 21, Martin Cadap “Martin”
Bataclao, 29, of Lower Magsaysay, Baguio City was apprehended at Balite,
Longlong-Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet while Rizalino L. Inway was
caught in Loo, Buguias, Benguet July 23.
Seized from Bataclao were three sachets containing
suspected shabu, Samsung cell phone and P1,000 buy-bust money while two sachets
containing suspected shabu; drug paraphernalia; Samsung cell phone; and
P1,000 buy-bust money were seized from
Inway.
Cases
for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act
of 2002 were filed against all the suspects.
