Farmer dead in lightning strike

BANNA, Ilocos Norte — A farmer believed to have been hit by lightning was found dead here afternoon of Aug. 16.

Silvestre Dulig, 54, was found by his neighbor Reynaldo Garcia in a vacant property in Barangay Nagpatayan.

Garcia immediately informed authorities about the matter.

Authorities said Dulig’s body showed signs of electrocution, possibly caused by lightning.
