38 Ifugao entreps in reb areas get livelihood aid

TINOC, Ifugao -- The Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PBG) program of the national government reached 38 entrepreneurs from barangays of this municipality affected by insurgency.
Through the Department of Trade and Industry in the province, recipients from barangays Binablayan, Danggo, Luhong, Tukukan and Wangwanghad received various livelihood kits.
The PBG is a livelihood seeding and entrepreneurship development program which intends to support micro-enterprises that were affected by fire incidents, other calamities and health pandemic.
DTI-Ifugao earlier launched the Negosyo Serbisyosa Barangay in these barangays covered by Executive Order No. 70 or “whole of nation approach“ to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC). It distributed the similar assistance to 28 entreprenuers as first batch recipients.
Mayor Samson Benito commended the national government for continuously providing livelihood assistance especially in ELCAC areas to help propel economic gains in the community.
“We are thankful to all agencies who are working for the benefit of our municipality especially the recipients. The municipal government is also utilizing its meager resources to help these beneficiaries to address some of their needs,” he said.
Benito enjoined the recipients to manage the assistance given to them so that it will grow to help address the daily needs of their families and also to inspire other service providers to provide more assistance in the future.
“Agyaman kami unay kadagitoy nga tulong nga inted ti gobyerno, saan mi nga usaren daytoy iti bareng-bareng; sayaaten mi nga imanage para iti masakbayan ti pamilya mi,”( we are grateful fro the assistance from the government, We will manage it well for the future of our families), the beneficiaries said in assuring to nurture the livelihood assistance through the PBG program.
