CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet -- Cops destroyed P21.9 million worth of
marijuana plants in Benguet and Kalinga April 6-10, new Cordillera police
director Brig. Gen. Ronald Lee said.
Citing reports of
Benguet police director Col. Reynaldo Pasiwen, police reportedly discovered
marijuana plantation sites in the mountains of Bakun, Kibungan and Kayapa in
Benguet.
In Kibungan, cops uprooted 4,700 fully grown marijuana plants worth P940,000 cultivated in a communal forest in Barangay Badeo.

In Bakun, four
marijuana plantations were discovered by cops at the communal forest of sitios
Bulisay, Agay-ay, Lepsik, and Wading of Kayapa.
A total P4,820,000
worth of 24,100 marijuana plants were
uprooted in the area. In Kalinga, citing the reports of Kalinga police director
Col. Davy Limmong, cops reportedly discovered marijuana plantation in Tabuk
City and in the municipality of Tinglayan.
In Tabuk, three
marijuana plantations were found in Barangay Lacnog.
Some 10,800 pieces of
fully grown marijuana worth P2,160,000 were uprooted in the area.
In Tinglayan, at Mt. Chumanchil, 3,100 fully grown marijuana plants were
uprooted worth P6, 200,000.
Found also in the sites were65 kilos of marijuana leaves and a kilo of marijuana

SADANGA, Mountain Province -- More than P5 million worth of marijuana plants were destroyed by a joint team of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Cordillera police at a plantation bordering the provinces of Kalinga and Mountain Province last week. The team also discovered a kilo of dried marijuana leaves and stalks in the area. No one was arrested during the raid.
Abra traffic enforcer arrested for shabu
PIDIGAN, Abra -- A
traffic enforcer was arrested by cops in a buy-bust operation here at Barangay
Naguirayan on April 8. Abra police director Christopher Acop identified the
suspect as Samy Baggao Ayudan, 38.
The suspect was arrested after selling one a sachet of suspected shabu worth P1,000 to an underground cop.
Police confiscated from him an additional two sachets of suspected shabu weighing 0.09 grams valued at P6,000 and P1,000 buy-bust money.
A motorcycle without plate number was also seized by operatives from the suspect.
The inventory and marking of seized items were done in the presence of the barangay captain, a barangay kagawad, and media representatives.
Ayudan and confiscated items were brought to Pidigan Municipal Police Station while a case for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) was filed against the suspect.

2 nabbed in Baguio, 1 in Tabuk for selling shabu
THREE PERSONS were
arrested last week in Baguio City and Kalinga for selling shabu. In Baguio City, a drug
suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation
April 6.
Baguio City Police
Office director, Col. Allen Rae Co bared this saying police conducted buy-bust
operation against Arvie Reymundo Vibar, 28, that resulted in his arrest after
he sold one small sachet of suspected “shabu” weighing 0.3 grams worth P 3,500
an undercover agent who acted as buyer.
Confiscated from him were another three sachets of suspected shabu weighing 0.6 grams worth P4,080 and cellphone.

These were inventoried
at the site and witnessed by barangay official Orlando B Basongit, Dept. of
Justice representative Don Immanuel VC Vergara, and Razced Pagoli of Bombo

The suspect was
brought to Camdas Police Station while confiscated items were brought to Baguio
City Crime Laboratory for examinations.
A case for illegal
drugs was filed against Vibar.
Still in Baguio, a
clothes seller was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation here in Guisad Surong
on April 7.
City Camdas Police
Station said a confidential informant reported to office that a certain
Criselda was looking for shabu buyers.
The suspect was
allegedly selling illegal drugs to drivers and minors along Magsaysay and
Kayang roads.
The suspect identified
as Criselda Lanoza Nasocwaw, 35, reportedly sold shabu about 0.8 gram and worth
P5,5000 to an undercover cop police.
Operatives recovered
the buy-bust money and cell phone used by the suspect in the transaction.
Inventory of
confiscated items at the site was witnessed by kagawad Rodel Benaldo, Bombo
Radio’s Janice Denis and Prosecutor Don Immanuel VC Vergara.
Recovered drug evidence
was brought to BCPO Crime Laboratory for examination while a case for violation
of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 was
readied against Nasocwaw, who is now detained at Police Station 2.
In Tabuk City,
Kalinga,a farmer was arrested April 7 for illegal drugs and firearms found in
his house.
Provincial police
director Col. Davy Vicente Limmong said bared this saying Tabuk police,
Regional Intelligence Division, and PDEA agents implemented search warrant in
the house of Rudy Ayangao Gud-ay, 27 here in Barangay Malin-awa.
Found by lawmen during
the search were five sachets of suspected shabu, Cal. 22 magnum loaded with six
bullets, holster, bullets for different guns, three cellphones and drug
paraphernalia.
The shabu weighed
around 0.4 grams and worth P2,720.
Inventory of confiscated items was done in the house in the presence of a kagawad, media representative,
and Dept. of Justice representatives.
The suspect and
confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Tabuk police station.
The suspect is now
facing charges for illegal drugs.
