North Luzon areas placed on Alert Level 3 Feb. 1-15

The government’s pandemic task force has decided to place areas in North Luzon including other parts of the country under Alert Level 3 from Alert Level 4 beginning February 1 until February 15, Malacañang announced.
Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles made the statement a day after he announced Covid-19 alert level classifications for other areas in the country on January 30.
The Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases decided on Ifugao’s risk classification on Jan. 31.
Aside from Ifugao, the following areas in Luzon are also under Alert Level 3 from Feb. 1 to 15, 2022: Abra, Apayao, Baguio City, Benguet, Kalinga, Mountain Province in Cordillera; Dagupan City, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan in Region 1.
Also under Alert Level 3 in Region 2 are City of Santiago, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino.
Also under same classification are Angeles City, Aurora, Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Olongapo City, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales in Region 3.
A total of 50 other areas, 21 in the Visayas and 29 in Mindanao, were likewise placed under Alert Level 3 for the first half of February 2022.
Meanwhile, the IATF placed Metro Manila and the following provinces under Under Alert Level 2 are Batanes, Bulacan, Cavite, Rizal, Biliran, Southern Leyte and Basilan.
