TINGLAYAN, Kalinga -- Police and anti-drug agents on Tuesday burned about P4.2 million worth of marijuana plants in two plantations in this town.
Captain Ruffy Manganip, Kalinga police information officer, said in a phone interview Wednesday, Dec. 7, authorities uprooted about 17,000 fully grown marijuana worth P3.4-million in one plantation and 4,000 plants worth P800,000 in another in Barangay Buscalan.
The police information officer said they arrested no cultivator as they had yet to identify and track down the people behind the plantations.
